Youth Empowerment Workshop

The Youth Empowerment Workshop is an engaging curriculum that was developed in response to parents who attended our Pull Your Pants Up! book signings throughout the city of Chicago. These parents were looking for additional resources for their sons and daughters in assisting them to meet their goals. The main components of the workshop are:

◊ Group exercises that encourage creative and critical thinking

◊ Feedback and advice on how to reach specific goals

◊ Completed action plan

Each student will learn:

◊ how to remain focused

◊ set goals and have definitive steps to achieving them

◊ foster dreams

◊ boost self-esteem by identifying strengths and building a life around those strengths

◊ use strengths to create a positive means of income
